A/C, DC

Home again.  It's nice out, and very warm inside, which means it's spring and the heat is still on.  Sigh.

Not even looking at skip=seven zillion.

Finished the Sekrit Baby Blanket.  Must just weave in ends, and it will be ready to give to baby-expecting friends tomorrow evening.

Having restful afternoon on couch before heading off to rehearsal, which was the reason I changed my flight to one where I had to get up at 3am in Grand Forks.  Aiea.

It was a small group made up of some of us from CCS, some of his Bach Cantata peeps, and I believe some other professional types (KH his favorite tenor was among them, frex [g]). And one day he was scooting around various sections while the real conductor was rehearsing us, and then one of the altos was gone, and the way I heard it, she was an MFA student at Catholic that he'd hired without an audition on the recommendation a friend who's one of her professors (or something like that), and at T minus 72 hours or something she still didn't know the music, which, yeah, no, right? I mean, I didn't know it before I got the gig, but I learned it, you know what I'm saying?

Erm, yeah- it's called being professional, which is a talent apparently not all people have. I'm glad to see that R can step up when necessary...
