also, has any show been revived more times?

You know, it's interesting, if you play Mama Rose in Gypsy on Broadway, if history is anything to go by (which of course it isn't, but bear with me), the odds are pretty good that you will win a Tony.  I mean, right?  There have been two women who have not won the Tony for playing Mama Rose.  Can anyone name them, please?

Also, I'm trying to find some show that's been revived more often, but Guys & Dolls, Oklahoma, Fiddler, and oddly Brigadoon have been revived as many times. Also, I'm assuming by show that you mean musical as obviously the plays of Shakespeare, Shaw, Wilde, etc. would probably out-strip Gypsy ;-)

Quite! But, you know, so I don't think three out of five people playing the same part in any of those shows has won the Tony -- meaning, Mama Rose is the Tony-winningest role in Broadway history, y/n?

And, the other two were both nominated. So, yeah, it's kinda the Broadway Diva Cap role ;-)

BTW... that horrible pun in my second comment was completely 100% unintentional.

Also, both Bette and Rosalind won Golden Globes for their performances of the role, but oddly didn't win the Oscar/Emmy for it.
