carry-on question

dudes. since safety pins aren't allowed on planes these days, i'm guessing an embroidery needle is also right out?

Yep. Besides, how would you cut the threads? No scissors, either.

i don't cut the threads, so that's a non-issue. but the lack of a needle, now, that'd be a problem. :-)

I've been wondering that myself, really--you can use nail clippers to cut the thread if you have to, but the needle seems like it's off-limits, but it doesn't SAY so anywhere...and it totally goes through the metal detector unnoticed...and it's BLUNT, cause with cross stitching it's not like it needs to really pierce anything...and yet...

better not risk it. you could put someone's eye out with that thing! :-)

I feel your pain on the carry-on stuff. I've decided it's just easier to only carry my purse with minimal crap on the plane. I just deal with checking everything else and hope for the best.

Have a safe trip! I'm flying out tonight myself to go see my sweetie.
