I just remembered that I haven't said anything about the Christmas special, which I watched on Boxing Day.  (I also haven't read many of your thoughts on the subject; I suppose I might, when I have some spare time today.)  I don't have an awful lot; basically, the crux of my reaction is "Dear Rusty:  I know this show is about the Titanic.  But I thought you should know that the Poseidon called -- it wants its Adventure back."

That said I did do something of a squee over the bridge crew being the guys from As Time Goes By and The History Boys (old and young respectively). And as a gay male child of the 80s, Kylie Minogue = Yay! Aside from that the only really good moment for me was the newspaperman who was like "London? At Christmas? What do you expect?"

Well, I did like the robots in The Girl in the Fireplace, though I suppose they weren't robot henchmen since they were the actual villain, though really they were just victims of their own programming.

The other thing I could really do with not seeing again for quite sometime: The Slitheen. You've watched The Sarah Jane Adventures, right?

Yep. I guess I dig that what they're trying to do is get every bit of use out of their investment that they can? But I agree that they should spread the love around a little. No more rubber suits, and no more clockwork men. Let's have more Giles-as-a-fruit-bat. That was fun!
