aw, hell, okay, here's the name meme
Apr. 2nd, 2003 11:17 pm1. What does your first name mean?
"Honeybee".
2. What does you middle name mean?
"Pure" or "virginal". (I don't make this stuff up.)
3. What does your last name mean?
"Fox."
No, really.
4. So what does your name mean when put together?
Honeybee pure fox? You may think she's sweet and innocent, but she's actually a vixen? I'm taking suggestions ...
5. What would you have been named if you were the opposite gender?
I would have had the name my brother eventually got.
6. Any other name oddities?
People have a hard time calling me by my right name. Invariably, within some short time of meeting me, they call me by a name that shares one or two letters with, but is not in fact very like, my own. Been happening since I was a kid, even by people who've never met anyone by that other name. It happened at the curling club at the beginning of this season -- my name tag arrived with the wrong name on it. I was all for seeing how many wrong names they could go through before getting it right, and wearing all the options on my vest and making people guess which one was actually my name. Sadly, not only did they get it right on the second try, but they took away the wrong one, so the only name tag I have has my correct name on it. [sigh.] :-)
