24. Isn't it marvelous. And how it keeps me guessing; I find that a thing happens, and I figure what it looks like it means, and then I figure what it probably *does* mean, and then I figure what it must *therefore* mean.

Often, sadly, I wind up third-guessing when my second guess was right. The wrong calls I've made haven't been because the real twist didn't occur to me -- they've been because they occurred to me and I dismissed them. Gotta stop doing that. The way you get all dressed up for a party and then remove one piece of jewelry.
