yay, curling.

spared for P this evening (whom i have, without his knowledge, redesignated "pasha" -- his partner is aware of having been redesignated "misha", but i'm not sure how he feels about this; my justification was, i hadn't slept more than a few hours a night in days, and russian is cool) on darthrami's team. we were doing okay, actually, despite the fact that i was playing like krep -- largely because M (not misha) was right behind me at vice, making the shots i'd just missed. must be a lousy gig, batting cleanup. anyway, we were doing pretty well, until darthrami's slider got away from her and she fell down and banged her tailbone and hit her head.

but she was okay! we walked her back to the warm room to sit down in a cushy chair. that was at the end of the fifth end out of eight, so jgesteve and his team decided to pack it in. which was probably just as well; nobody would really have been able to concentrate on the game after that.
