fox: seeing red (wrath: my left eye is not normally red) (seeing red)
end-of-january payday: didn't get paid, because i didn't start working until the 26th.

middle-of-february payday: didn't get paid, figured there might be some paperwork delays, lived with it, counted on being paid at the end of the month.

end-of-february payday: have not been paid. office manager is checking on it. have been assessed monthly maintenance fee at bank for lack of direct deposit. am on hold waiting to talk to someone about getting it taken away.

un. happy.

[eta: the nice bank lady credited the maintenance fee as a "one-time courtesy" (translation: don't hate us, please, please). have until this time next month to sort out the goddamn payroll situation -- although, if there hasn't been a direct deposit by this time next month, my problems will be way bigger than a six-dollar bank fee ...]

[eta2: have now been paid. it's a live check, but the direct deposit should (fingers crossed) go into effect for the next pay period. now i just have to figure out how to get two checks a month, each a little less than this one, to cover a whole month's worth of expenses ...]

today, ugh

fox: arctic fox: time to hibernate (hibernate)
not-ugh: saw what could only be [livejournal.com profile] autiger23's car on my way down the street this morning. welcome to the neighborhood! :-)

ugh: have evidently not been sleeping well. i know i haven't been sleeping enough, but it's also apparently not been restful; i'm tired and cranky and that's the only current possible explanation.

again with the useless meetings at work. finally sent boss-man an e-mail. "i feel like we've had this meeting twice already. is having it again worth the hit we'll take in productivity?" so on the one hand, go me with the getting proactive; but on the other hand, the answer was "this is a different meeting, and it's necessary", so feh.

just spent half an hour calculating monthly expenses and not liking how the totals came out. how in god's name can one girl spend this kind of money ... and this without buying anything?! i'm looking at rent, cable, phone, cell phone, health insurance, auto and renter's insurance, DSL, AAA dues, gym membership, and curling club dues -- subtract that from what i (imagine i'll) earn every month, and then i can talk about buying food and putting gas in the car. later there will be a post about precisely how fortunate i know i am. this just isn't the time for it, you dig? :-/

but, i suppose, it's good to have the numbers in front of me. i decided that when i finished this degree i'd be done letting my folks bail me out if i found myself a little behind. but, like, gah.

crap, i forgot to figure in my student loan payments. [goes back to the debit column]

and now it's time to go get my allergy shot. ($15/visit)
