techie help

so here's the thing. remember i had to replace my hard drive not long ago, yeah? it had the whole synch thing from my palm pilot, which subsequently went belly-up (as it does periodically; i've got to replace this thing). the LJ-less terri transferred everything from the old HD to the new one, which was great, and i managed to reload the address book into the palm -- but i can't reinstall the applications i'd loaded onto the thing (i had a hebrew calendar, a mood calendar, a text reader, couple of games), even though i can see them still there in the directory. i put them in the "install" folder, and i hit the synch button, and it won't transfer them. anyone have thoughts?
