greased lightning
May. 7th, 2004 11:52 amso the word this morning from Current Boss is that as soon as my loose ends are tied up over here, i'm free to go. meaning, i expect i can wrap things up today, so i'll be back at the old firm in the city starting monday.
the word from New-Old Boss is that what i'm to be paid -- which they've asked the agency to pay me, because i used to be an actual employee and i have experience and it's important enough to them that it's me they're getting (which, by the way, is a whole new thing for me, and i kind of dig it) -- is so out of sync with what they normally pay temps, even temps with a little experience behind them, that she needs me to keep quiet about it because she can't have all her temps coming to her in, like, an uprising and demanding more cash.
hee!
