RAR packing rar
Sep. 16th, 2004 02:35 am1. no, seriously,
ellen_fremedon, you want these spices? i'm going to have an assortment of dry goods it'd be idiotic to throw away. [eta: also, do you have a cambridge encyclopedia of language? do you want one? i have an extra.]
2.
esti626, do you want the first two seasons of west wing on VHS (alert: i can't seem to locate "let bartlet be bartlet", but that's a stupid episode anyway), or shall i pack them?
3. saturday morning, hell -- i looked at the confirmation thing they mailed me and in fact i'm to pick up the truck by 5:30 pm on friday. so i'll pick it up and park it here and not have to go get it saturday morning. i have the elevator until 12:30. hands up who's helping me load the truck? (you can actually help two people for the price of one, as
ellen_fremedon is claiming her Various Furniture Items that morning as well.)
[eta: 4. FIRE SALE: blank audiocassettes - several - still shrink-wrapped; wire hangers - many - mainly dry-cleaner type, crummy, but hey. free to any (local) homes, good or otherwise.]

done today:
Sep. 16th, 2004 12:54 pm-- balanced checkbook. (once you get started, you can't stop! also, i genuflect before the inventors of duplicate checks and online banking. the old way of balancing things, with the paper statements and the cancelled checks if you were lucky and the math? ugh. the new way, with the online statement and the carbons? yay.)
-- paid bills. (all of them! i am in debt to no one, muahahahaha.)
-- registered to vote in ohio. (anyone with a legitimate reason to register in a battleground state is hereby urged to do so.)
-- filled out absentee ballot application.
-- completed paperwork to be sent to accounts manager to maybe process some student loan action. (the accounts manager's name is Annabeth [ths is not her real first name] Ledger [this is her real last name]. seems very appropriate, in a sort of old-fashioned english or welsh way. like this is Tom the Groceries, who manages the store; and that's David the Book, who sells books; and over here is Annabeth the Ledger, who takes care of the accounts. i find it very satisfying.)
-- discovered i don't have enough stamps. (so i'm off to get some. packing will recommence when i return.)
