specifically, the episode "hartsfield's landing".
sam again, man. there are two moments in this episode that might be my most favorite sam seaborn moments ever, ever, ever, both when he's playing chess with the president:
1. POTUS: By the end of the week, Taiwan's going to announce that they're holding their first free elections.
Sam: You're kidding.
i swear to god, the look on his face when he gets that news? when it hits me in the right mood, can almost make me cry.
2. POTUS: You're going to run for president some day, Sam. Don't be scared.
again, it's the look on his face, the absolute hero-worship -- that's the sam seaborn i adore so much. (and the real reason i choose to believe he was elected to congress from the california 47th.)
