bpal: March Hare

i'm not sure what's twisted about that, but okay. in the jar, it smells nothing but fruity. put it on, and the clove leaps out immediately, only to be throttled by the apricot; the clove gets the upper hand a moment later, and then the apricot again, and they tumble about for a couple of minutes during which time it's anybody's guess which will dominate. then there's about five minutes of overwhelming apricot scent, making a person think that the apricot not only won the struggle with the clove, but also dismembered the clove's body and buried the parts in several dark, remote places, never to be seen again. (okay, that's a little twisted.) you begin to resign yourself to a whole day of smelling like jam. and then, finally, it turns out you were wrong about the grisly death of the clove; the apricot settles down and the clove settles next to it and they harmonize and you can go about your business.
i know it's called 'march hare' and it's from the 'tea party' collection, but clove just says 'mulled wine' to me. this is kind of a good christmas season daytime scent, i think.
A twisted teatime tart: apricot and sweet clove.
