fox: arctic fox: time to hibernate (hibernate)
My mother has been after me to get out of the house a bit, instead of spending each day with the TV on parked in front of the computer looking for jobs and apartments.  So, fine.  Today, when three of my applications to federal agencies (well, two applications and a hard copy of something I'd faxed) came back postage due -- too heavy for a single stamp, that is -- I decided I'd celebrate having found my keys to my parents' place by walking, rather than driving, to the post office to get the twelve cents of extra postage and put the things back in the mail today, instead of waiting for the mailman to pick them up tomorrow.

Didn't it start raining before I was even halfway home.  Not as badly as it has been, granted, but when you're out in it and it's still hot, so you're sweating and rain-soaked, not so fun.  Feh.
