So, um.  With 100% of precincts reporting, Webb has 1,143,144 votes and Allen has 1,140,879.  Which is to say that the front-running-ness changed with the reporting of the last five percent or so of precincts.  That's a difference of 2,265 votes, which, hi, yes, automatic recount, and I'm fine with that, because I'd absolutely be hollering for it if it had finished up the other way.  But also:  there were over 130,000 absentee ballots requested statewide; some counties and cities count the absentees at the same time as the votes cast on the day, but others don't, and the ones that haven't counted them yet are Loudon county and the People's Republic of Arlington, Alexandria and Fairfax.  In short:  Webb is up by a little more than two thousand votes, and there's a lot of absentees left to count in the bluest part of the state.  Nobody's declaring nothing, but omfg we might have the Senate.
