vacation continues

In Florida, with friend and her family (i.e. las normanitas) - I have already seen both babies, even though they should have already been asleep when I got here.  YAY.

I love all my friends, of course, but there are a couple of friends from college, and this is one of them, where it is always such a good thing for me to come down here, because the whole time we're together I just laugh and laugh and laugh.  I say again:  I may really have needed this vacation.  :-)



In other potentially-annoying-in-future news, my 'e' key has been behaving oddly, only registering a keystroke maybe three out of every five times I hit it, requiring me to go back and hit it harder.  Hrmph.  (This is also true of my '8' key, which wouldn't be much of an issue except that of course it houses my asterisk.)  A bit askew.  Don't know how to fix it.  It may be that in addition to various items of furniture, I need to put looking into replacing my laptop on my list of upcoming major expenditures.  (Not just because of a couple of wonky keys; because it's four years old and on its second HD and apparently in need ofa BIOS update that may not exist and and and and.  Whatever effort needs to be sunk into it, I might just be ahead to replace it.  y/n?)
