fox: penguin says the throughline took a left turn somewhere (continuity (by Lanning))
  1. Why, please, have there not been more Torchwood/Buffy crossovers? (If I'm mistaken about this, and there have been loads of them, please point me at them at your earliest convenience. Thx.) I feel like there's untapped potential in the way the Rift and the Hellmouth seem similar on first glance but in fact are not at all. Right? Or am I crazy?
  2. What if you killed Jack Harkness and dismembered him? Would the parts scoot back together, like quicksilver, and he'd sort of autoreconstitute? (Would that be before or after he came back to life?) Do you suppose there'd be some kind of maximum distance? requirement to bury the parts in the earth and pour salt over them? something like that? OR, do you think [either if the parts didn't get back together soon enough or just in general, I don't mind] each part would grow up into a new Jack Harkness, like a starfish or a many-headed hydra? (More like a starfish, I guess. Or a broom with a bucket of water.) But in that case, wouldn't you run the risk of eventually being overrun with Jack Harknesses, and wouldn't that -- despite being very pretty -- be a bad thing? (I do not, however, think they'd all be saying "Malkovich".)
