Working from home today. There is work that can be done at home, and I am going to do it, rather than be continually distracted by other people's meetings and whatnot.

ellen_fremedon, I'm still on for tapas, of course. I'll just be coming from here instead of there. Happy birthday!

i was so ... awake

I'd have liked to have finished a pair of socks, of course. But failing that, I was able at dinner tonight to give

ellen_fremedon a whole sock and show her the 2/3 (approx.) of the other.

The conversation actually went something like this:

darthfox: Speaking of geeky, here is your present.
ellen_fremedon: Ooh, it is a pair of socks!
darthfox: Well, at the moment it is one sock.
ellen_fremedon: And in all my colors!
sanj: Look at that a little more closely.
ellen_fremedon: Oh ... my ... GOODNESS!

I think she was very pleased.
