i give the day a C- so far
Dec. 21st, 2008 02:29 pmSo after that thing I was grumbling about in that locked post earlier, I went and picked up
sanj for Mallrat Fun Time, which was a slight present-shopping type of event. Grumbled some more about the grumbling thing. Tried to go to Michaels, but the one I knew of up where we were going had disappeared, so we backtracked and hit an AC Moore instead, in which I successfully got a stitch holder (so I can take my brother's first sock off the needles and use the needles to begin the second one, and then when the second one gets to where the first one is, I can be sure I'll be able to make the cuffs the same length), and finally settled on a frame for an old picture I've got of my grandmother's family. Had tremendous success finding
sanj the kind of frame she wanted for her sister's present, and we mentioned to the checkout lady that while she might believe her 40% off sale ended yesterday, the signs advertising it were still on the shelves, and she said "omg! show me the sign!", and we did, and she took it down right away and gave
sanj the discount anyway, which was exactly how the whole thing should have played out.
Thence to the mall, where we started thinking about lunch and then it turned out that while I didn't really feel hungry, I was much too hungry and low-blood-sugar-y to be of any use in the conversation of where to eat, I mean
sanj correctly told me I had to pull myself together and I'm sure she was about twenty seconds from slapping me across the face, but a little ginger chicken with broccoli fixed that, and we accomplished our other mall errands, and home again --
-- where the frame I found for my old picture of my grandmother's family does not have a hook on the back and will not hang on the wall.

Plus I called home to wish my dad a happy birthday and got the answering machine.
It is totally, totally nap time.
