while the coffee is brewing

It occurred to me this morning, while I was pondering other things, that pursuant on yesterday's unfortunate episode with the Flower Lady and the suspicion that I will be much less touchy when The Holidays are over ...

... that's actually going to be a while. viz:

• Today I am driving to Cleveland, which will not be as bad as the day before Thanksgiving, because a lot of people have already buggered off out of town and I'm getting on the road (fractionally) earlier, but still. Driving back probably Sunday. That's Christmas v1.0 done.
  
• Next week, NY"E", Wednesday-Sunday.
  
• The following weekend, January 8-12 actually (Thursday-Monday), off to Green Bay for the qualifying round, which isn't a holiday precisely, but is its own bringer of stress.
  
• The weekend after that, January 16-18, Christmas v2.0 -- extended family on my mother's side all gets together in January, since everyone's got so much on already at the end of December. I have taken to calling this MLKmas. Back from that on the Sunday of the long weekend, just in time for
  
• The Inauguration.

So I'm sort of looking at February for a return to something more like normal. Right?

Also, I wonder what I did with my glasses case.

Found my glasses case. What am I forgetting. I've got clothes (n.b. this is never what I forget), toothbrush, etc., a couple of presents, far too much knitting (incl. some that should be finished by tomorrow HAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHA), computer, camera, iPod, EZPass is in the car, scarf and hat b/c colder at home than here, sturdier shoes? not sure I own any, mustn't leave phone behind --
