checking in

Have had a couple of reasonably-successful shopping outings in the past couple of days. Made some knitting progress, and about to get back to it -- I've decided I'm going to rip my brother's first sock back past the heel and make the foot shorter, but it's a decision I came to myself, and I can take it. It will be a better pair of socks when it's finished, is the important thing.

My parents are out at a party I insisted they go to even though I am here. (They asked if I wanted to join them, but it's a dinner dance, and I don't

1. know anyone there except them,
   
2. have a dress with me to wear to such a thing, or
   
3. dance,

so I am here by myself, which is precisely where I wanted to be.) Going to have some dinner myself soon.)

Driving home tomorrow. Let's hear it for not much traffic, and no fog in the PA hills! I do believe in fairies, I do, I do.
