a day of adventure

Back to the dentist today, where they took away one of the onlays and put in a temporary crown, in the hope that the full crown will do the job and still save me from the root canal. I said I was ready to do the root canal if they thought it was necessary, but they said I'd have to have this temporary anyway if they did it, so basically what they did today was the second step first, in the hope that the first step will be unnecessary.

Picked up the mail and there was an overdue notice from the cable company, where I'm going to be cut off June 19! A big surprise, because I totally paid last month's cable bill, wtf. Yeah - turns out I paid it to the old account number, which is not linked with the new account, so it was paid and a refund check was cut and the refund will never reach me because my mail is no longer forwarded from my old address, being how I haven't lived there for close to two years. Sigh. So I spoke to a nice young man who put in a ticket to have the refund check stopped and re-cut and sent to my current address, and I've totally removed the old account from my electronic bill pay so I can't make that mistake again, and I am shortly to go pay the bill for reals over at the website. Sigh.

Thinking positive thoughts as the novocaine wears off, please.
