sunday sunday sunday
Sep. 26th, 2010 04:04 pmIt's happened again: I've probably only lost about five of the pounds I'm trying to re-lose, but today my face looked different to me in the mirror than it did yesterday. At least this time I wasn't so surprised by it - the first time that happened, I didn't recognize myself and it was pretty distressing. This time, I went, "huh."
I had a latte this morning. A real one! Having been right off caffeine for a year and a day, I decided reintroducing the stuff before noon was an acceptable idea. It didn't hit me like rocket fuel. It didn't even make me particularly jittery. We'll see if that changes a little later in the day, I guess.
Then I went and had a pedicure, which was very nice. And I bought a skirt I've been waiting for, and got it on sale!, but the poor girl had such trouble with the register ringing me out - I was glad she got me, since I was feeling relaxed and groovy and not in a rush, instead of some customer who was going to be snappy at her when things kept going wrong.
And then I picked up groceries and some lunch on the way home - at which point I felt very sick to my stomach. :-( So I think I'm going to lie down for a bit before I do my laundry.
It is Sunday afternoon. Tuesday morning, first thing, I get the wretched separators out from between my back teeth, which cannot come a moment too soon as I am these separators' number n fan, JFC. Of course I'm immediately getting braces on my bottom teeth (ceramic brackets! and very thin wires. the whole business will be hidden by my lower lip), so it's not that the aching will stop when the separators come out, but two-fifths of what's bothering me now is the crookedness caused by the separators, and obvs. the braces will be sorting that out. So.
