on balance, a win
Mar. 6th, 2011 11:37 pmAccomplished this weekend:scrubbing phone laundry
Not accomplished this weekend:
It's hardly surprising, at this point, is it? I'm not unusual among my family members in this, at least. My mother's house is actually in worse shape than mine (though granted it is two or three times the square footage), and my brother and sister-in-law are very tidy but not zealots when it comes to scrubbing and vacuuming, and my cousin who really seems like the pinnacle of all that is housekeepy (because she seems so much to be her father's daughter) maintains that she means to dust about monthly but doesn't manage to get to it. So, you know. My guilt, it is dissipating. (Also I realized today that I do windows even less often than I dust. Ha!)
I've got the beginnings of a wheezy cough thing. I don't know what it is. I feel fine, except that there's a slight tickle or flutter or something just below my throat, where if I breathe deeply or somehow not carefully it kind of aggravates something and I cough or wheeze for a moment. Very strange. And it feels like the back of my tongue is swollen and a little achy, which also strikes me as weird.
I spent the whole day knitting the first part of a thing three times, because it features a small amount of intarsia that was kicking my ass. I finally concluded that what I want from it is not possible, and moved on. I have become much more successful at threading my needle through existing stitches, though, so there's that.
