doctor who x svu crossover opportunity

It's a fairly sensational episode, but I have just come to the end of an SVU episode in which Alex Kingston plays a defense attorney called Miranda Pond.

accomplishments

Today I have:

• finally found the CD of Douglas Adams reading Restaurant at the End of the Universe and added the last disc to my iTunes, after years of having the thing stop 80% of the way to the end;
  
• finally updated the maps on my GPS, so maybe it will shut up about being out of date, have a clue about the ICC, etc.;
  
• had a nap of such near-unconsciousness that I actually ached when I woke up;
  
• gone to the store for butter and soda and ice cream, which I was out of.

I have not:

• finished unpacking from my vacation;
  
• vacuumed;
  
• made any of the returns I need to make, in stores or post offices;
  
• run the dishwasher.

I still think that's a decent tally for a day off. Tomorrow I'm going for Election Judge training, and may hopefully get at least the unpacking done in the afternoon before reuniting with Gentleman Caller and giving him his My Girlfriend Went On Vacation Without Me presents (candy, mostly, but candy that's only available from that one shop in Stratford; especially some bean-to-bar chocolates they make themselves so he/we can do a comparative study). Sunday looks like Mass and then Renn Faire, so I'll have to ask him to get apples for me at the market, I think.

And then back to work.
