emerging from the ick
Mar. 9th, 2013 07:31 pmYesterday:
Then I went over to Himself's and we had some lobster ravioli for dinner (which my aunt had sent me, mysteriously, from Omaha Steaks - whatever, random gifts FTW) and watched a little BBC and had a nice evening.
This morning I got up and Facetimed with my brother and my nephew; then Himself and I ran grocery errands; and then I came home and did two loads of laundry, finally putting the guest room back to rights; and I vacuumed the whole apartment (twice, as it turned out, because when I was dusting - dusting! - I knocked down a votive holder and it shattered pretty spectacularly) and put a bunch of things away and folded up the blankets on the back of the couch and so on; and hung up a hand-tatted lace snowflake my grandmother made, which I've had for nigh two years, most of that waiting for the right frame and then eventually waiting for the right place on my wall. And I did all this with the windows open, because the airing the place out on a sixty-degree day seemed like a brilliant idea. And I had a little dinner.
It feels great not to be sick, y'all. :-)
- I slept all the way until the alarm went off (which was not the case Thursday morning, ugh)
- I did the XBX again (well, IX BX, because I don't do the running in place) for the first time in weeks and weeks
- I made my lunch and brought it with me to work for the second day in a row
- I got props from IT for bringing something to their attention while it was still Worth Keeping An Eye On instead of waiting until it was a Situation
- cleaned my desk, including putting some coffee cups and silverware where I will hopefully not forget to bring them home and put them through the dishwasher
