Things I did yesterday:

• took my car in to the shop (needed a new headlight and some fixing to a door sill and one of the washer fluid jets)
  
• went to two or three banks so Himself could deposit checks in various accounts
  
• stopped by the jewelry place where we're going to take a class and learn to make our own wedding rings; the guy who runs the studio had finished resizing my engagement ring, so we got it back also
  
• went out to take a look at a possible venue
  
• fetched my car back
  
• went to his folks' so we could show his mom the ring (her mother's ring, on my finger) and have some dinner (the first either of us had eaten all day, really)

Things I did today:

• sang two Masses
  
• ran a couple more errands
  
• finished and submitted my Yuletide (whew!)
  
• spoke to my mother on the phone (thank goodness, the subject of her being impossible about our wedding did not come up - Himself is dealing with her on that via e-mail)
  
• started a load of laundry
  
• tidied a number of the things, including the mail that has been gradually strewn across our whole downstairs

I am feeling very accomplished. And also tired.
