The prince is one month old today. He likes (or does not mind) me, his father, snuggling, milk, and rocking in the Rock-n-Play. He dislikes wet diapers, dirty diapers, being cold, being tired, being hungry, having big globs of crud in his nose, and the bulb syringe with which we get big globs of crud out of his nose. You'll note that these last two items create an impasse - and his father and I feel more strongly negative about the big globs of crud in the baby's nose, so alas he has to put up with the bulb syringe, at least until we figure out why his nose keeps filling with crud. (Doc says he may have a bit of a cold but absent any other symptoms she's not concerned it's anything more serious. It could also be the climate here in our house, which we're trying to sort out to make everyone's breathing more comfortable. Or it could be an allergy, possibly to something I've eaten?, but I think that's less likely because it does seem to be improving although I haven't changed my diet.)
Also, he's started holding onto my shirt collar when I'm carrying him and he can reach it, and this morning he got his little fist into my hair. So that's fun.
