oh hello the internet.

For reasons I already can't remember, yesterday I started reading old DW entries beginning about five years ago; and I've just reached a point in December 2015 when I had fallen out of the posting habit and was trying to get back into it:

So here's a funny thing - the other day, as I noted, the room was spinning when I woke up. (It got better.) While I was poking around to see how sparse my posts have been and for how long, I found the last time I'd posted about a wake-up vertigo event (which was the time I did have to call out of work) - and it was exactly a year ago, the Monday before Christmas.

It's not like I think I'll be able to remember next year to see how I feel when I wake up on December 20.

So in fact the Monday before last Christmas was December 19, not December 20, because leap year; but yo I was home with a three-week-old baby at that time. No, I did not remember to take note of how I felt when I woke up that morning and see if I had a vertigo thing going on at that time. Come to think of it - who says I'd even slept the night before? :-)
