kids, amirite?
Jan. 4th, 2021 09:49 amThis morning around 6:15 the prince came into our room, climbed up into bed between us, asked me if he could snuggle on my pillow, and then quietly started to cry. :-(
Of course we hugged him and asked what was wrong, but he didn't want to tell us. We don't insist that he talk to us if he doesn't want to, but lately I've been trying to emphasize that if we don't know about something bad we can't help it get better, so hopefully he comes out of this keeping-things-to-himself phase soonish. (Eventually it seemed maybe he was sad because a noise outside had woken him suddenly or before he was ready to wake up - but when he heard an automatic noise in our bathroom while he was with us, he "realized" that the noise he'd heard when he was in his bed was the thermometer turning on his heated floor, which couldn't be true even if he did know what he was talking about. So, still a mystery.)
