STOP PRESS
Apr. 21st, 2004 10:15 amupdate: so i'm looking through an e-mail, with a chain of replies, between self and the secretary of the Lx department at oxford -- and i see where she told me, on december 4, that the MPhil (which is what i've been accepted for) is a two-year degree, the one-year version of which (MSt, Master of Studies?) has a lower pass mark and no thesis. (my feeling is, with all apologies to mr. jefferson's university, i have that degree already.)
oh, she broke my streak!

not seeing the forest for the trees
Apr. 21st, 2004 11:49 pmso my parents called this evening. and somewhere in the conversation about how i'm all medicated but feeling sick anyway (yes, dad, i have been getting allergy shots, but they just make you better, they don't make you well, and the pollen count today was close to 1,000, which is the lowest it's been since the weekend), my mother said "have you not been sleeping well?"
and i thought, no, you know, i guess i haven't.
i'm sure this is partly because it's so hot and partly because i'm so itchy. but that can't be all of it. what's going on, y'all. normally i fall asleep quickly and sleep like the dead. and lately i've been lying awake forever and waking up frequently.
help.
