last night, i went to bed early -- which is to say, about 11pm -- in a declared attempt to force myself back into this time zone.
i woke up around 4am and tried, really i did, to get back to sleep. this proving impossible, a little before 6 i got up and showered, thinking, great, then i can chat with some of the west-coast people for a bit and even get a little work done before it's time to leave the house at 9:30. was feeling sinusy. took a decongestant.
about 8am the grogginess had returned, so i decided to lie down and close my eyes for a bit so i wouldn't fall asleep in semantics (which, let me say for the record, i'm right with
ellen_fremedon on jumping out the window to avoid).
three and a half hours later (i did set the alarm, but when it went off i made the executive decision to silence it and not to get up), the nausea is mostly gone, but the post-nasal drip that i suspect to be its cause remains. also, my neck is still really tense.
wtf, i ask you.
