re: returned e-mail
hi. yeah, apparently you tried to contact me a couple of times and things got bounced back to you; Classmate forwarded me the exchange you just sent along, yesterday, using the departmental e-mail address you finally resorted to this morning.
the reason the earlier e-mails were bounced back to you is because you sent them to the wrong e-mail address. that is, you sent them to me@ the wrong college. that other college does have an X in it, just like the e-mail address for mine does, but that's pretty much where the similarity ends. i think you'll find if you check your records, every e-mail i've ever sent you -- whether it had an essay attached or not -- came from me@ the college of which i am actually a member, and not the one where you tried to contact me twice in the past week. was there a reason you didn't look back at something you've received from me in the past, to make sure you had the e-mail address right, once it started bouncing?
sorry for the confusion.
:-)
[i did, in fact, say "Sorry for the confusion." to a man who e-mailed me at an address that is not mine for no apparent reason other than being really confused. [facepalm].]
