so, SGA again.

i am through "the storm", the whole two-parter.  at present, my read is this:  shepard and ford are frankly tied for Prettiest (aside:  rainbow sun francks?  wtf?!); mckay is obviously my brother in snark; but beckett is really my most favorite, bless him.

also, the women don't piss me off, either of them, which is something.  normally about half the women irritate me for whatever reason (example:  on enterprise, i liked the translator and was bugged by the vulcan.)  (i wasn't nuts about the blonde-moppet avenger chick, but she's not a regular, yeah?, just a guest on a three-episode arc.)

am i getting it right?  discuss.

i like british people who pay me money.

(or even transplanted americans, really.  yesterday Tall British Co-Worker and i were filling out paperwork and whatnot, and American Boss Lady asked for our student ID card numbers so she could have our cards added to the system where we can swipe through the security doors, etc., and we both knew them without looking.  and we all agreed that was kind of alarming, but then again, she said, she still remembers her social security number -- which is how i knew she's USian and not canadian; she's got that been-here-a-long-time accent thing happening, so that's not a reliable indicator -- although she's been living in britain since the late 70's.)

first day actually doing the work for which i am preposterously overqualified, today.  it involves matching people's names to their records in the database (or, in some cases, creating a record in the database) and scanning their photo and signature and printing.  little cameras on bendy stalks, right on the desks!  special ID-card printers!  i'm happier about the technology than anything else, really.  :-)  (except the money.  i like money.)  i'm kind of sad that i won't get to play with it again until tuesday.  stoopid bank holiday.  [pout]
