look -- don't lie to me. don't do it when i've been on hold for ten minutes at my parents' house, and for sure don't do it when i'm calling from england and there is no such thing as toll free. okay? i'm saying i have a copy of the fax that was sent from my college saying 'we approved this student for the full subsidized loan of $8500, not this lesser amount of $5500 that is all you've lent her', so don't tell me the school only approved $5500, okay? because even the full $8500 (by which of course i mean $8500 less origination fees) plus the unsubsidized $10K doesn't cover my fees for a year, never mind housing and food and transportation. okay? so don't give me the runaround.
[though i do note that when i read the fax out, the girl said Oh, i see that fax, and since then i've been on hold while she figures out how to get me the rest of the money they're supposed to lend me. LEND! it's not like they won't get it back -- and how sad is it that i could see them pulling this kind of shit if it was a grant, even?]

yo. i'm glad you wear plastic gloves when you make the sandwiches. i think we all appreciate that you want to show your concern for hygiene and whatnot. but, you know, when you handle money with your gloved hands and then turn around and make a sandwich without changing your gloves? kind of defeats the purpose, you know what i'm saying?
