fox: my left eye. "ceci n'est pas une fox." (not-fox)
Anyone who wants to shoot me a Vox invite, feel free.

I just turned the TV on and caught the last twelve minutes (approx) of Apollo 13.  Just when I turned it on was right before they detached the Lunar Module, so mainly what I was watching was the long blackout and the moment of triumphant relief when they re-establish radio contact and everyone knows the three guys are safe.

Made me cry without the rest of the movie in front of it, even.  It never ceases to amaze me how Opie managed to get all that suspense into the end of a story where everyone already knew how it ended (and I'll never understand why someone didn't require James Cameron to learn from that example).  That's some good filmmaking, right there.
