WAYS IN WHICH I WIN
May. 21st, 2007 09:47 pmI? have just found the tape on which
jgesteve recorded the "Putting It Together" special for me approx (I think) five years ago, with Carol Burnett, Ruthie Henshall, John Barrowman (yes, that one), Bronson Pinchot, and ... that other guy George Hearn. (Look, it was a long time ago. Sue me for having to look it up.)
It's awesome, of course, because they're all brilliant, but chiefly what it means is that some time in the next hour or so I will hear Captain Jack Harkness sing "Being Alive", and you won't.
[glee]
(You know I'd share if I could.)

i'd forgotten how good this show is.
May. 21st, 2007 10:58 pmI knew, of course, that Carol Burnett does a "Ladies Who Lunch" that can break your heart like glass. But I didn't remember that John B. also sings (and brings the house down with, by the way) "Marry Me A Little".
Ah, Sondheim. [loves]
[ETA: Hmm, and "Being Alive" is a sort of medley thing with all five of them. I was sure I remembered him doing the whole number in a single spotlight on an otherwise dark stage. Must have hallucinated the whole thing.]
