Of course I'm sure the thing on the inside of my upper lip is just a scratch, and the white bit that I chose to allow to freak me out is what would be a scab if the sore spot were out here where it's dry. Like you've never panicked about something totally irrational in the middle of the night. :->

I am thinking about seeing if there's seasonal employment at Ann Taylor Loft. This is partly because I want some extra dosh, but more because I want some sort of discount.

Need to make a hotel reservation for the friend's baby shower the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Also need to contact some people about curling events that we can't tell whether they need officials or not. Plus, need to work.

But here comes the cackling Thursday meeting. Once they actually convene and start meeting, it'll be fine, but while they're gathering, do they care about the SIGN ON MY DOOR that says "quiet is appreciated"? They do not. ARGH.

OH, COME ON.

Okay, so, to explain.  The first game of the AL Division Series, first inning, first batter -- at least it wasn't the first pitch.  God.  I believe it was the sixth pitch; 3-2 count, and the right field umpire said the ball was foul, and Joe effing Torre complained, and the umpires conferred, and the call was reversed.  And look, one of two things should have happened: either the call should have stood, or the RF umpire should have called it fair in the first place.

And now the first pitch of the bottom of the first inning hits the batter, so that's all right - but the second batter has just grounded into a double play.  Come on, you guys, you're better than this.

Well, that was much more satisfying.

That's all.  If there's any more liveblogging, I won't post it until the game is over.  :-)

But I've got to tell you, I love when the Yankees' pitchers make that face.

Some new icons tonight, I think.  But not actually a Cleveland Indians icon, because while I don't have a particular objection to the name, the mascot (and its name) are, yeah.  (The opposite is true of the NFL team here in Our Nation's Capital - with the difference that I don't ever really care how they do.)
