So that's that for SJA season 1.  I don't actually have much to say about the show in general or this episode in particular; I dig that Alan got to get involved at the end (and that he was eating the chips on the way to hit the baddies with the vinegar [g]), but mainly I wanted to use this subject line.  ( That can't possibly count as a spoiler, can it? )

Today's "Day in Photos" in the Post has a picture of some of the Royal Fam at a Westminster Abbey celebration of the Queen's diamond anniversary -- and wow, Prince Philip is looking really very old, isn't he? (They're actually sort of all not looking their best. Variously old, tired, surly, and bored. Camilla looks the best of anyone in that picture, followed by Princess Whichever-It-Is behind her -- they're the only ones appearing to take any sort of interest. And is that Princess Anne's chin at the back there? If they're seated in order of age, what's she doing behind Andrew? And if they're seated in order of rank, what's she doing in front of Edward, whom I don't see at all?)
