They almost, almost beat Canada last night, which would have been a big win (obviously); I expect even giving them that close a game --  I don't remember if Canada had played a whole ten ends yet -- was a biggish shot in the arm.  Go on, lads.

Norway took Canada to an extra end this morning and damn near won it, but that game used up all of Ulsrud's mojo and he came within a whisker of losing to Germany in the afternoon.  But he didn't, and then Germany lost to Canada, and what a difference a day makes -- check the current standings:

You are reading that right:  at the moment there is a six-way tie for second place.  About half those teams have not played each other yet, so the remaining six draws will shake some of that loose -- but maybe not all of it.  There's a very real possibility we'll be in tiebreaker hell 48 hours from now.  Stay tuned!
