My apartment faces east; by the time I posted complaining about the heat yesterday, the sun had already passed over the top of my building, and things did get progressively better as it got dark outside. I had all the windows open, the ceiling fan going in the living room and the box fan blowing over me in my bed, and I slept fine.
And then I woke up at about 8:30; I closed my eyes to go back to sleep; it started to rain, and I was glad; then there was a flash of lightning that lit up my eyelids, and immediately a walloping great clap of thunder, and the rain was heavier and louder and oh, I was so happy.
I slept for another two hours, and now I'm up and showered and dressed and coffeed and planning my Day of Errands, because I'm on a Mission, and it's lovely and cool outside, hooray.
