Note to self: when your intent is to increase in four specific places on one row and then knit the next row plain and then increase on the third row and knit the fourth row plain and so on, it's a good idea to be paying close enough attention that you know whether you're in a row where you increase or not, and that you remember this for the duration of the row, so you don't increase at the beginning but not at the end and end up with an odd number of stitches, which cannot possibly divide by four.
