For reasons that aren't at all clear to me, my head has been full today of my aunt and my grandparents, that is, my father's late parents and sister. (My mother's father has not been haunting me, and for that I'm grateful.) I seriously don't know why. My grandmother's birthday was in September, my grandfather's I don't actually know, and my aunt's at the end of May, and they died in August, November, and November, respectively, so there's no calendar-related reason they should be on my mind today -- but they are.

So I've got that headache you get when you have to concentrate not to cry. Which kind of sucks. Although lunch and a chat with College Roommate K have helped quite a bit. As, I suppose, has framing it -- as I did when chatting with K -- as taking a whack at being that girl who doesn't want to cry because it will make her eyeliner run. :-}
