A high school friend of my sister-in-law's is getting married this weekend (as we speak, in fact!), so SIL has been in town since yesterday morning doing bridesmaidy stuff, and I fetched my brother from the airport to the hotel last night and then spent a very nice relaxed day with him today before dropping him off at the wedding. Tomorrow I get to see them both! Hurrah!
We saw Angels and Demons, which we knew would be ridiculous, and it was. Gleefully so. Also, Ewan McGregor in a cassock, and then a parachute, and then most of a cassock, all of which I'm sure I enjoyed rather more than my brother did, but there you go. An entirely preposterous film. I mean, really. Maybe sillier than The Da Vinci Code, even. I've still never read a word of Dan Brown, and I'm not going to, but when are they making the next movie? I can't wait. :-)
Stopped at the grocery store on the way home and now the windows are open and I'm going to have a Saturday evening doing Sunday chores so my place is fit for company tomorrow. Hurrah again!
