So I said to

ellen_fremedon how I was waiting to see if the crazy wild ache in my jaw would let up without taking something for it. :-( And then it didn't, so I took some advil, and about twenty minutes later I felt it kick in and the ache went away, and I said to Ellen how I always wish I didn't wonder if it wouldn't have gone away on its own if I hadn't taken something.

And she scolded me for second-guessing myself. Which I guess is a point.
