Some of us have Facebook accounts, of course. Some others of us have Twitter accounts. Now that LJ has a feature where you can crosspost your LJ entries on Facebook and/or Twitter - well, that's your business. But there's also this feature where you can crosspost your comments, with a link back to the post - and, listen, of course nobody who doesn't have access to a locked post is going to magically gain access to a locked post just because there was a link to it from your Facebook wall, but all the same, I'd love it if you didn't link back to my LJ by crossposting your comments to Facebook or Twitter. Any chance we can make that happen? Like I said, what you do with your own LJ is your business, but I'd prefer to maintain the illusion that I am in control of mine.

Cheers.

right then.

For the moment, I'm locking up comments at LJ and leaving them open here at DW. I don't anticipate leaving LJ for keeps, but while they're monkeying with Facebook connections I prefer to avoid taking the chance. (Side note: I imagine everyone I know who wants a DW invite has already got one, but I've got several, so, you know, let me know.)

Does anyone know of a script or something that will lock comments to many entries at once? I don't want to disable comments to the whole journal, as that will make all previous comments invisible, even to me - but I do for the moment want to disallow further comments. I can Edit Entry and change the comment setting to "locked" one at a time, but it's been nine years, you know, so I'd love it if I could do something globally. Someone must know. Thanks!
