+ Half an hour on the elliptical yesterday and today.

+ Did the laundry and put it away.

+ Filed my nails so they won't catch as much on my knitting, and so I can do the dishes. (Not that I can't do dishes when my nails are too long, but I don't like how they get very soft and, of course, more likely to break.)

+ Took out the trash and the recycling.

- Have not yet addressed the rest of the kitchen.

+ Knit the arms of the stuffed toy I'm making right onto the body, instead of knitting them separately and sewing them on, and am very pleased.

- Gripped my needles too hard and got a strainy kind of cramp in my hand.

+ Found my wrist brace.

+ Dealt with all the crap that's been accumulating around the edges of the living room and the bedroom since I came down with the plague.

+ Found that the assignment I thought was due this Thursday, and which I should have spoken to the professor about before beginning it, is not actually due for two more weeks, so I can both consult the prof and do a decent job on it.

On balance, a huge win, and I'm going to do an errand or two this afternoon and not feel the slightest bit guilty about not being at home doing work. :-D

I went out on a series of errands, one of which was to acquire a USB cable for my GPS so I can update the maps. Simple, right? Only in the electronics section of the Target, I passed by a display demonstrating a video game: here was Lego R2-D2, and there was Lego Obi-Wan Kenobi and Lego Anakin Skywalker and they were in a setting I wasn't familiar with. Also I couldn't find the cable I wanted. So I found a young man in a red shirt and asked him where to find the cable, and also what game was that?, and he showed me, and it is a new Lego Star Wars game - and now I have the rest of the afternoon to think about how sad it was that I could tell with one glance at the screen that this was a game I had never seen before.

Montgomery County was a complete wash, but Anne Arundel came through, and I'm here to tell you that [personal profile] tigerflower's Government Shutdown cocktail is nine thousand times better with maraschino in it. (It looks far more like a bourbon sour, as well, but it tastes way smoother than - well, than anything else associated with government shutdowns in any way, is what.)

We have a winner.

Two years ago, I held a seder at Passover and it was well attended and, I think, a success.

Last year, I was going to do it again (but smaller!), only then I was sidetracked by my TMJ and ongoing dental issues.

This year, I was going to do it again (and smaller), only then I got mono and used up all my sick time and most if not all of my vacation, so I can't take a day to cook up a seder when I'm saving my leave as it's accrued so I'll have enough for my actual vacation in, you know, July.

The first night is Monday, so if I do anything it'll be the following Saturday, i.e. the last night but one. Since my kitchen is in no way kosher (and nor am I!), this isn't actually a Thing, so hey: I may well make a seder two weeks from last night. Who thinks I should?
