so that sucked.

I had my duplex carotid ultrasound this morning. My carotid arteries are "very nice", according to the technician, and totally sonic! So that didn't reveal anything conclusive, which is good (because the conclusive things it could have revealed are things I probably don't want), but also bad (because I am wearying of being a woman of mystery).

And then I had a decent day. Followed, not long after I got home, by a wretched evening. I've been curled up on my couch with my travel pillow around my neck like a brace - it seems to help to keep my neck warm, as well as stopping my head drooping like a daisy on a stem - and wishing I could think of something someone could do for me, but able to come up with nothing, so there was no particular point in calling anyone.

Now it's been several hours and I think I'm past the worst of it. Better have a drink before I go to sleep. Oy.
