1. Spent an ungodly amount of money on booze tonight for the bonspiel bar. Two or more people at the liquor store asked us where the party was, and we told them. Must pick up groceries (mainly tomato juice & other bloody mary components) tomorrow at lunchtime. On the plus side, have determined to order a new name tag reading "BAR BAR BAR".

2. Articulated that

flt is an extrovert while I am a friendly introvert. There are many ways in which she and I are similar enough that people mistake us for each other - though there are also many differences, of course, and it's not like this is the only one, but right now I'm feeling like the brightness of that line cannot be overstated.

3. Related to #2, in fact, I just learned that the Sunday league is not beginning this week, as I had previously believed, but next week, which is the best news I've heard all day, because following a whole weekend of bonspiel madness I had already made plans that did not involve being around curlers in any way. :-P

Bar is as set up as it can get before activation of license. Am home, with inexplicable mosquito bite on the back of my wrist, and so tired I can't quite go to bed yet. Oof.
