~gasping update~

Dudes, I see I haven't updated since last month. Meep. In brief:

• big paper due for class Wednesday. I'm actually feeling pretty relaxed and groovy about it, which is rare for me, so I'm trying to kind of enjoy it. I mean the thing is not done, but I know exactly what I'm doing and it's just a matter of doing it. The original due date was today and a couple of weeks ago it was extended to Wednesday for everyone, and I am glad, because
  
• major deadline at work ... Wednesday. I worked late a couple of days last week and went in for six hours on Saturday and basically after the thing is delivered on Wednesday (and my paper is handed in) I am under no circumstances going to work on Friday, and maybe not even on Thursday.
  
• all my travel arrangements are made for our trip to visit my brother and his family, my trip to Stratford (in fact I have to cancel one bit of an arrangement for that because I re-made it elsewise), and our trip to my mother's hometown. Before any of that, Gentleman Caller is heading out of town for a week beginning next Saturday. My keyring now includes a key to his place, hurrah. While he is gone I am going to make peach jam and it is going to be delicious.
  
• one day last week we were almost ready to go wherever it was we were going, and I held us up just a couple minutes longer so I could slap on a little makeup. "I have no face," I said. You ... have ... no face? "I need to put on my face. Which as you know means - maybe you don't know. It's a thing women say, and what I mean is I need to put-" [waving makeup case]. And then he says, But you don't need to put anything on your face. ♥, of course. ♥
  
• I forget what the last thing actually was.

• [eta:Oh! it was that besides calling about the Stratford thing tomorrow, the other thing I want to remember to do is look into GC's birthday present. I sent an inquiry about embroidery and have heard nothing, so I may have to see what I can do by myself.]
